We are a mother (Karen) & daughter (Nikki) company and we both have the coeliac condition. I (Karen) was diagnosed in 1987 at the age of 24 after 6 months of severe weight loss and Nikki was diagnosed at the age of 7 without any real symptons. Although Nikki was born with a milk intolerance she out grew this at the age of 5.
I have always liked baking and even after being diagnosed with this condition, I was still able to bake successfully with the gluten free flours. Also with Nikki having the milk intolerance I had to master the art of baking without lactose and other milk products.
In April 2009 we decided to launch our company, so we both went back to college and passed our "Level 2 in Food Safety in Catering" course. We were then assessed by the local enviromental health team and awarded 5 stars - see below.
Our promise is to provide good quality home baked goods at a reasonable price. Everything is baked fresh to order and it can all be frozen.
We are happy to try and bake different things especially if you have a favourite item that we currently do not offer.
